Pet Policy
Pet-Friendly Living at The Finley
Home includes every member of the family. The Finley welcomes cats and dogs with a limit of two pets per apartment home. Every resident — whether or not they have a pet — completes an Animal/Pet Screening profile through our partner PetScreening. No-pet and Emotional/Support Animal profiles are free. Each pet application includes the animal’s name, photo, vaccination records, and microchip information if applicable.
Pet Fees, Breeds & Assistance Animals
A one-time, non-refundable pet fee of $300 per pet, monthly pet rent of $15 per pet, and a $20 annual per-pet PetScreening fee (paid directly to PetScreening) apply. Due to insurance requirements and property policy, and excluding approved Emotional Support and Service Animals, restricted breeds or partial breeds include: Pit Bull breeds (American Pit Bull, Staffordshire Terrier, etc.), Rottweiler, Akita, Mastiff, Alaskan Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Chow Chow, Wolf Hybrid, Great Dane, Presa Canario, Cane Corso, and Bullmastiff/Mastiff breeds, along with any city breed restrictions. This reflects industry liability standards rather than any judgment of individual animals; all pets remain subject to approval. Emotional Support and Service Animals are not pets — they are reasonably accommodated for any lease holder or occupant, exempt from pet fees, pet rent, breed restrictions, and PetScreening charges, with verification submitted through the same PetScreening application at no cost.
How Pet Screening Works
Every applicant and resident completes a short profile at thefinley.petscreening.com — it takes about ten minutes. Tip: sign in with the same email address you used on your Finley application.

Choose your profile type
Household Pet ($20/yr per pet) — photos, breed, vaccinations, behavioral history. Assistance Animal (free) — photos and medical documentation if required. No Pet/Animal (free) — affirm the community’s pet affidavit. |

Submit & keep it current

Good Neighbors, Good Pets
A few simple guidelines keep The Finley comfortable for every resident, two-legged and four:
- Keep pets leashed and under control anywhere outside your home, including breezeways, the pool area, and the playground.
- Pick up after your pet every time — pet waste stations are located throughout the community.
- Keep vaccinations current and your PetScreening profile up to date; let the office know if you add or change a pet.
- Be mindful of barking and noise, especially overnight — your neighbors will thank you.
- For everyone’s safety and comfort, pets are not permitted in the pool area or on pool furniture.
